Christmas on the Square
The joyous Christmas season begins December 6 with this day-long event at the Union Parish courthouse in downtown Farmerville. See arts, crafts, and food vendors; join the caroling right after the Farmerville Jaycees Christmas Parade; stroll to nearby The Historical District Association of Farmerville Christmas Tour of Homes and the Union Arts Council – Louisiana art show and the Union Parish Library special Christmas activities for children; visit local retailers’ Holiday Shop-UP open houses. Other features of Christmas on the Square: Santa will be on hand for children; silent auction and live auction of excellent items donated by local merchants.

Christmas on the Square, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. vendors
Historical District Tour of Homes (along Academy St.),
Union Arts Council Art Show (at Claiborne Electric Co-Op Inc ), 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Union Parish Library, 1-4 p.m. “A Dickens of a Christmas” walk-through Victorian display, with Father Christmas (photo op for children).
Holiday Shop-UP Christmas open houses at local retailers, all day Saturday and Sunday 1-5 p.m.
Community caroling, – 6 p.m., led by Muriel Finley and music by Sherry Alexander
Farmerville Jaycees Christmas Parade, 8 p.m.
