Union Parish Library
The Union Parish Library offers monthly educational and cultural programs for children through adults. You can find everything from art, science, drama, nature for kids to literature discussions, gardening, and history exhibits for adults all posted on Facebook. Books, movies, board games, tents, and even fishing poles can also be checked out by library patrons. Throughout the year, special exhibits are held for Summer Reading, Hispanic Heritage, Native American Heritage, Halloween Walk-Thru, Thanksgiving Soup Kitchen, Christmas Open House, Black History, and National Poetry Month! The library also fills 24 “Little Free Library” boxes throughout the parish as well as offering digital services for patron access to books and videos from the comfort of home. One of the library’s newest projects is “Storywalks” which can be found at walking trails all over the parish! Two Storywalks are in place now at Lake D’Arbonne State Park and Spearsville Walking Trail with more coming soon! Take a walk through Union Parish and read as you go!
